Keyword Research: Long Tailed Keywords the Key to Targeted Website Traffic


If you do your homework well and research well into profitable keywords that Google users are using, you can predict changes in demand and even produce products, services and content before your competition know what is happening. By this you stay one step ahead and have money coming into your business very easily because you know what the people want.

If you are looking for targeted website traffic you need to realize the value of a keyword and how it applies to your site. If you own an online clothing store, do you make more sales from visitors searching for 'blue jeans' or 'brown chinos'? If you want targeted traffic, try to rank high for long tailed keywords.

Do not toy with keyword research if you crave targeted website traffic. Ensure that you use keywords that tally with what you are offering. If you try to manipulate keywords not related to your online business for a quick buck, it won't work. Choose keywords that work with your website. Nothing stops you from tweaking your site, product or service if you uncover keywords that you can tweak to your advantage.

Stay away from competitive keywords. They are already taken by the big guns. And you would most likely never make it to 'Google's Holy Grail 1st page' no matter how hard you try. So after coming up with long tail keywords
